saturday, 9th of august - 96 km

didn't go as far as the last few days, but first things first - i started late because breakfast with brinkers was so nice. 

secondly what are the dutch famous for? sailing - the flying dutchman - and windmills and probably 100 other things with wind. but for one thing that they are famous for, it's not needed: cycling, they must be tough people (the wind usually comes diagonally from the front).

saw donkeys yesterday, for the first time. one of my favourite animals. i had to think of them today, because to struggle on against the wind requires to be as stubborn as a donkey.

thought it would be easy here, and fast. but... 

it took me a bit until i got my first bite to eat here. the first two people said something like 'we are not social service'. but later it worked nicely, very fine people. 

when it came to finding a place to sleep it got harder again and took me until dusk. but then again very warm and nice family to stay with. 

curious to see how it will go on in holland.
