tuesday, 12th of august - 90 km 

wow, wind was worse than yesterday. but the big difference was - people were extremely supportive today. 

i slept well at the farm. then no kilometer on bike and a mackerel. big fat fish, thousands of calories i suppose. 20 km later, a sandwich and tea. then french fries - that kept me alive.

i cycled across that crazy weir system. couldn't go faster than 10 to 12 km/hour. but met sebastian from leipzig there, and as we talked all the wind was forgotten. so i made 90 km unexpectedly. 

though at first glance, vrouwenpolder seemed to be a tough place to find accommodation for the night, it turned out differently. i found the pastor and his wife by chance, and, after a generous meal and a long, good conversation, he showed me a farm, where i now sleep in the hay. good last day in holland!
